Little White Lies is my debut contemporary romance novel and is written in third person, past tense from the perspective of the heroine, Madalyn Russell. The concept for Little White Lies was born from my love for cruising; I've been on four cruises. I'm also a sucker for whirlwind romances with a HEA. And I enjoy books that make me laugh. But as a young woman in college - who discovered romance novels - I rarely saw books with a cruise setting. So I decided to try my hand at writing back in 1997. However my career, marriage and children made it difficult to find time to write. When I discovered my partial manuscript and notes in 2013 while cleaning my basement, I vowed to finally achieve my dream of writing a book.
If you do not believe in love growing over a single week in someone's company, then in order to fully immerse yourself in Little White Lies and enjoy it to the fullest, please allow yourself free reign to suspend belief for a few hours. I promise you will smile or giggle or maybe even laugh out loud in certain parts. We all want to let go of our inhibitions sometimes, don't we? And if you do, then you will most definitely fall in love with Royce and Madalyn.
This book is filled with a large cast of characters including six well developed couples on the cruise as well as both Madalyn's and Royce's family members once life resumes after the cruise. If you've ever been on a cruise, then you know you meet a range of personalities, both enjoyable and annoying, so I've tried to keep my story realistic in this respect.
Little White Lies is a stand alone book with a satisfying beginning, middle and end - no cliff-hangers in this book! But pay close attention to the couples at the newlywed table and you just might recognize some familiar characters from my second book, Date Night.
I sincerely hope you will love Little White Lies as much as I do. Royce is my ultimate book boyfriend! Perhaps he will be become yours too?
